Photo voice--a method in which research participants take pictures of their everyday surroundings with cameras distributed by the researcher and then meet in a group with the researcher to discuss the pictures' meaning; participants are asked to take photos of their everyday surroundings and take them back to the researcher in order to discuss them; examples--asking abused women to take photographs of their surroundings in order to discuss their past experiences with abuse.
