It has been proposed that constructive conflict could lead to change and stimulates innovation. It has also been proposed that the idea of conflict management is that there could be possible outcomes to the conflict, as opposed to the main idea of conflict resolution that proposes the ending of a conflict. How can you explain the relationship between conflict management and constructive conflict?
What will be an ideal response?
Students should relate to the idea that conflict management exists to look at the interests of all parties and to provide viable options to all parties in the conflict. In doing that, conflict management and leaders using conflict management skills look not at ending the conflict as the main goal. The goal is instead to look for constructive answers to the conflict.
