Name and discuss the two forms of amnesia
What will be an ideal response?
Anterograde amnesia and retrograde amnesia. Anterograde amnesia involves the inability to form new memories such as in the case of H.M. as opposed to retrograde amnesia which involves the inability to remember information previously stored in memory. Retrograde amnesia is commonly seen after an individual sustains an injury to the head. Those suffering from retrograde amnesia can form new memories, unlike those with anterograde amnesia.
