The NSSHB interviewed 5,865 adolescents and adults, aged 14 to 94 . Results are broken down by kinds of sexual behaviors, sex (Men and Women) as well as by age. For every age group, men are more likely to report masturbating alone in the past year than women are. The incidence of masturbation alone generally rises through the late twenties and then begins to decline. Men and women in their late 20s are about equally likely to give and receive oral sex. Under the age of 29, women report having higher rates of vaginal intercourse than men.
