Why is it a bad idea to use tables for purposes of visually formatting a page?
What will be an ideal response?
People who are blind cannot make sense of a document by using visual landmarks. A table imposes an ordering to the elements in its cells, which may or may not make sense if the table is being used to visually format a page. For example, if several cells in a column form a logical group, this group will not be apparent to someone who is blind, because screen readers read across rows, not down columns.
