Any given spatial location can be represented egocentrically, in relation to a landmark, or allocentrically. Define these three types of spatial representations, and provide an example of each
What will be an ideal response?
Egocentric representations are representations of objects in relation to one's own body. For example, my cup of water is just to the right of my hand. Landmark-based representations are representations of objects in relation to target objects in the environment. For example, my cup of water is on top of my desk. Allocentric representations are representations involving an abstract frame of reference. For example, GPS information tells me that the latitude of my cup of water is approximately 43.1 N, and its longitude is 88.8 W.
