The AADP campaign “Monster-Free Mouths Movement” is an example of targeting more than one primary audience while also reaching out to a secondary audience. Discuss how and why this campaign successfully reached multiple audiences.
What will be an ideal response?
The AAPD plan’s primary audience was parents of young children and the plan was designed to reach them. The secondary audience became the children. In this case, creating awareness among parents about children’s oral health care was a great start. The icing on the cake came from providing AAPD member dentists with kid-friendly materials to make first visits enjoyable, and was equally important to delivering on the overall objective.
