Explain how the United States has pursued a strategy of incremental reform to health-care policy between the mid-1960s until recently.
Fill in the blank(s) with the appropriate word(s).
Since the early 1900s, reforms have been needed to health care. Nothing major was changed or reformed between the early 1900s, when health insurance became more popular, and the mid-1960s with the addition of Medicare and Medicaid. Although President Clinton proposed a major overhaul, only minor changes such as Medicare Parts C and D, SCHIP, and Veterans Health were accomplished until the major revisions included in Obama’s plan.
