because you have tested it against all opposing claims. Further, by considering all options, the
advocate is able to acquire knowledge on an issue and discuss it in an informed and reasoned
manner. The ability to be informed allows for Linda to appear credible to her audience because
she has researched her topic and is able to present it from the strongest possible position.
