Explain how technology can affect group interactions. If you were the leader of a group of students working together on a class project, what are some ways you could use technology to enhance group communication? Explain your answer

What will be an ideal response?

Technology increases the potential number of channels group members can use to communicate. For example, group members can use teleconferencing, videoconferencing, and bulletin boards to easily
share information. An implication of these new communication channels is that group communication
can be asynchronous. If the decision to use technology is made, all group members must agree on
norms for using the technology. For example, there must be some agreement on how often group
members check e-mail, read discussion boards, etc.
