Explain the economic burden of climate change.
What will be an ideal response?
The mitigation costs will be a major burden for both developed and developing countries, but will be much harder for developing. Similarly adaptation costs will be especially high for the developing countries. Climate shocks like floods and droughts will continue to be a major problem for many countries in the developing world. Lives are also being lost to ecological disasters. Diseases are becoming more prevalent with changes in the climate. Rising sea levels are a significant threat to many low lying countries. Environmental stresses increase migration and conflict.
