Explain the difference between directive and nondirective interviews.

Directive interviews are greatly controlled by an interviewer. Questions tend to be
closed and perhaps leading. A directive interviewer tends to follow a clear line of
questioning. On the other hand, nondirective interviews are those in which the direction
of the interview is primarily given to the interviewee. The questions tend to be open and
neutral.
