Briefly describe the difference between the “balance of trade” and “the balance of invisibles.”

What will be an ideal response?

The balance of trade consists of the amount of money the United States spends abroad for goods minus the amount that other countries spend for goods in the United States. The balance of invisibles consists of the amount of money the United States spends abroad for services (such as insurance, banking, and shipping fees) minus the amount spent for services by other countries in the United States. The balance of trade therefore applies to goods, while the balance of invisibles applies to services.
