Constitutional courts are served by judges that are appointed by the president and confirmed by the Senate. These judges serve life terms. The main constitutional courts are the 94 district courts, the circuit courts of appeals, and the Supreme Court. Legislative courts address specialized areas of law. Judges on these courts do not enjoy the same protections as judges on the constitutional courts.
