The Management Information Systems and Training departments were merged into a single department. This was done to slim down the organizational structure and increase operational efficiency. Also, top management felt that Training needed new leadership (see Hill, Evans, and Ketcham interviews), and appears to have hopes that the success of the old Management Systems department will now influence the new Training and Management Systems department (see Hill interview).
