Explain the different paste options in Microsoft Word 2016.?
What will be an ideal response?
Answers will vary. When you paste text or objects in Office programs, you can click the Paste button arrow instead of the Paste button in the Clipboard group on the Home tab to display a menu of options for pasting the contents of the Clipboard. The buttons on the menu change depending on what you are pasting. The buttons that you will use most often are Keep Source Formatting and Keep Text Only. The Keep Source Formatting button pastes the contents of the Clipboard in the new location but retains the formatting that the copied or cut item had in its original location. The Keep Text Only button pastes the contents of the Clipboard using the formatting of the surrounding text in the new location. Another button that commonly appears is the Merge Formatting button, which combines the formatting from the original location with the formatting of the new location. When other buttons are available, they will have similar descriptive names that appear in a ScreenTip when you point to them.??You can point to each button on the Paste button menu to see a Live Preview of the formatted Clipboard item in the document. If you click the Paste button, the contents of the Clipboard is pasted with the default option, which is the first button on the menu. When you paste anything, a Paste Options button appears below and to the right of the pasted item. You can click the Paste Options button to display the same menu of buttons that appears on the Paste button menu, and you can click these to change how the pasted item is formatted. Please see the section "Copying Formats" for more information.
