What are the differences between a neuropathic pattern and myopathic pattern during an EMG evaluation of a maximal effort contraction?

What will be an ideal response?

A neuropathic pattern is determined based on an inability to fill up the screen with electrical activity. Individual motor unit potentials can be seen since there is a lack of intact motor neurons to create a full interference pattern. A myopathic pattern will have a low level interference pattern since there is a normal amount of motor neurons but a reduction of muscle fibers within the intact motor units.
