What will be an ideal response?

Self-esteem is defined as the assessment and perception of one's own social skills. Key factors include the amount of discrepancy between what the child desires and what they think they have achieved, as well as overall support that the child feels she is receiving from the important people around her. Of primary importance here is the child's perception and whether or not it reflects reality.
