Why is the nohighlight command extremely useful when using the Vim text editor?
What will be an ideal response?
Vim highlights the items you find in a successful search operation. If you need to perform multiple searches and remove the highlighting, type either : noh or :nohl and press Enter. The nohighlight command is useful to remember, especially when using the Vim editor in a student lab where other students may have performed searches and left text highlighted. Highlighting is considered "sticky"; it remains from one session to the next and can be distracting if you are not doing searches.
