List and describe each of the four server types that Expression Web supports for publishing a Web site.  Include the information needed in order to publish a Web site using each specific method.

What will be an ideal response?

• FTP, FSTP, and FTPS:
FTP, or File Transfer Protocol, is by far the most common method used to transfer files from a source site to a publishing destination. SFTP and FTPS are more secure methods of transferring files via FTP.  You need to check with your hosting provider to see if you should use FTP, SFTP, or FTPS.  To use any of these methods, you need to know the address to publish to and the user name and password for your account. In addition, you need to know the file path to the directory in which you plan to publish your files. You can usually find these details in the support or help section of your hosting provider's Web site.

• FrontPage Server Extensions:
FrontPage Server Extensions are files that are installed on a server and were used by Microsoft's legacy Web design program, FrontPage, to facilitate publishing and to support interactive Web features. FrontPage Server Extensions should be used only when converting an existing FrontPage site to Expression Web. If you use this method to publish, you first need to verify that your server has the extensions installed. To publish your files, you need to know the address to publish to and the user name and password for your account.

• WebDAV:
WebDAV stands for Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning. WebDAV allows groups to work on the same files by providing workflow and collaboration features such as file check-in and check-out and versioning of files (to facilitate evolving drafts of a document). This method is not very common, so you should check with your hosting provider to see if it is supported. To publish files to WebDAV, you need to know the address to publish to, and the user name and password for your account.

• File System:
The File System option allows you to publish a copy of your site to a folder on the same computer or same network. Consider using this option to publish a copy of your site to another folder for backup purposes before you publish it to the publishing destination.
