What will be an ideal response?

Ethical decisions are based upon an adherence to high moral and/or ethical principles
(integrity), to respect others by not using offensive language or expressions, and to be
honest.  With respect to public speaking, power is granted to a speaker.  This position of
power obligates the speaker to do the best job possible, to be honest, and to be
respectful of the time the audience is giving.  The job of speaker is to guide to a greater
understanding or a positive action.  It is incumbent upon the speaker to prepare
thoroughly, to be candid about the benefits the speaker may reap from the presentation,
to consider the audience?s needs and interests, to avoid encouraging unethical or illegal
behavior, to use only credible and well-researched information and supporting
material, to avoid using offensive language or name calling, and never to use someone
else?s work as one?s own.
