Describe a fibular avulsion in layman's terms

What will be an ideal response?

A strain is a pulling or tearing of a muscle. A severe strain can cause the muscle to tear away from the bone at the point of attachment. An avulsion is a separation or tearing away. A fibular avulsion occurs when a portion of the fibula separates from the main body of the bone and remains attached to the strained (torn) muscle.
