Impromptu speaking is when the speaker does not have much advance preparation,
and must speak off the cuff. Suggestions include to consider your audience?s interests,
expectations, and knowledge; be brief (one to three minutes); organize-use an
introduction, body, and conclusion; draw upon your own personal knowledge and
experience; use gestures and movement; and be aware of the potential impact of your
communication.
