What will be an ideal response?
Answer will include that adults with a secure attachment style think that most people are well-intentioned and trustworthy, find it relatively easy to get close to others, are comfortable when other people want to get close to them, tend to rely on others and have others depend on them, and do not worry about being abandoned by others. Individuals with an avoidant attachment style tend to pull back when things did not go well in a relationship, are somewhat skeptical about the idea of true love, have difficulty trusting their partners in romantic relationships, find other people too eager to seek commitment from them, and get a little nervous if anyone gets too close emotionally. People with ambivalent attachment styles have often felt misunderstood and unappreciated in their romantic relationships, find their friends and lovers somewhat unreliable, love their romantic partner, but worry that their partner really does not love them; and would like to be closer to others, but do not feel like they can completely trust others.
