Explain how the social environment can affect business
What will be an ideal response?
A social environment is an interconnected system of different demographic factors such as race, ethnicity, gender, age, income distribution, sexual orientation, and other characteristics. Social, economic, and political movements and trends cause the social environment in the United States to constantly change. For instance, an influx of immigrants can change the racial demographic, or an economic slump can change the income distribution demographic. These changes affect where we live, what we buy, and how we choose to spend our money. Businesses must consider the shifts and changes in the social environment when making decisions in order to best serve their employees, customers, and community.
