Look up the term artifact/artifactual. How would you distinguish this term from artificial?

What will be an ideal response?

An artifact can be something that appears to exist because of the method used to examine the object, although the artifact does not actually exist (eg, nonexistent objects that appear on x-ray due to the imaging technique). An artifact can also be an object or substance that does not occur naturally but has been introduced or produced as a result of a procedure. Artifacts are generally unintended and may cause confusion.
Artificial describes something produced deliberately for the purpose of replacing or mimicking a naturally occurring substance.
An artificial substance or object actually exists and is introduced intentionally; an artifact may or may not exist and is not introduced intentionally.
