Explain what makes criticism constructive. Illustrate this concept by providing an example of an unconstructive expression of criticism, then adapting the expression to make it more constructive.

What will be an ideal response?

The ideal answer should include:
- When expressing criticism to a speaker, it is important to give them insight that you feel will help them in future speaking situations (constructive criticism).
- Students' examples will vary:
* For example, merely saying "Your introduction did not gain my attention" is not constructive. It does not tell the speaker what they could do in the future to gain your attention.
* The expression can be tweaked to make it more constructive: "The example you gave later in the speech about the computer crash was very interesting and would have more effectively gained my attention in the introduction." This expression tells the speaker exactly what they could do in the future by offering them a specific suggestion.

Intense anger is commonly thought as one more experienced and prevalent in men than women. Please describe how this widely accepted concept is based on culture. In providing your response, please refer to societal roles assigned to both men and women, and in particular elements from Hofstede’s dimension of individualism–collectivism.
