Discuss the different forms of speech delivery. What are the relative advantages and disadvantages of each?

What will be an ideal response?

Impromptu delivery is speaking without formal planning or preparation. This type of delivery is often the best way to adapt to a situation where you are called upon to express your thoughts; however, it
does not allow for preparation. Manuscript delivery is preparing a word-for-word script for the
speech. This type of delivery allows for substantial preparation but is often the most difficult to deliver
effectively. Memorized delivery is the same as manuscript delivery but the script is memorized. The
problem with this approach is that it is time-consuming and risky because one may forget the "next
line." Extemporaneous delivery is delivering a speech from well-organized notes. This approach is
most advantageous because it allows for preparation but does not require reading from a script or
memorization.
