What is formal individual power?
What will be an ideal response?
Formal individual power is the power that stems from a person's position in an organization's hierarchy. When individuals accept a position in an organization, they accept the formal responsibility to carry out agreed-upon tasks and duties. In return, the organization gives them formal authority to use its people and other resources to accomplish job-related tasks and duties. Formal power is a reflection of an individual's legitimate, reward, coercive, and information power.
