Servers are assigned a rating between zero and five stars that indicates how well the virtual machine will function on the given host. The rating is determined by the resources the virtual machine needs and the available resources on the host (CPU use, free memory, disk I/O, and network utilization). These ratings are also used when VMM is determining whether virtual machines should be moved to other hosts to optimize performance.
