Many people deny having racial or other prejudices, and it seems likely that many of them are reporting incorrectly. Name and describe a method that social psychologists use to measure prejudices or other attitudes that people don't want to admit
What will be an ideal response?
In the implicit association test, people press one key if they see (for example) either a black person's face or a pleasant word, and press a different key if they see a white face or an unpleasant word. After researchers measure the mean delays for each type of response, the rules change. Now the participant presses one key for a black face or unpleasant word, and a different key for a white face or pleasant word. Someone who responds faster for black/unpleasant than for black/pleasant and faster for white/pleasant than white/unpleasant is presumably prejudiced against black people. The same procedure can be used to measure other possible prejudices.
