In the Aloha protocol, what happens if two stations attempt simultaneous transmission on the inbound frequency, and how is the problem handled?

What will be an ideal response?

If two stations simultaneously attempt to transmit on the inbound frequency, the signals will
interfere and the two transmissions will be garbled. We use the term collision, and say that the two
transmitted packets collide in the medium. The protocol handles a collision by requiring a sender to
retransmit each lost packet.
