• Fusion is a genre of music created out of an East/West interface and the connections between improvisation in jazz and Indian classical music. For example, for the past thirty years, outstanding Indian musicians such as the tabla (Indian drum) player Zakir Hussain have worked with American/European jazz and rock musicians.
