1. Impromptu speaking occurs when you are asked to "say a few words" unexpectedly.
2. Speaking from memory is when we prepare a written text and then memorize it word for word.
3. Speaking from manuscript is when you deliver a speech from a complete text prepared in advance to
ensure that the speaker will not be at a loss for words.
4. Speaking extemporaneously involves taking the time to develop your speech content and organization,
then delivering that information using notes. This is done in a manner that is natural and not forceful.
