List and explain three negative consequences of romantic relationships at work

What will be an ideal response?

Romantic relationships can distract the couple from organizational
responsibilities as well as other organizational relationships (Hovick, Meyers, &
Timmerman, 2003). For example, as Tracy and Logan's romantic relationship develops,
they may exclude other team member's ideas or ignore aspects of their jobs that would
require them spending time apart. Furthermore, if the organization prohibits co-worker
romances, then Tracy and Logan may further distance themselves in an attempt to hide
their relationship from others. In the absence of such a policy the relationship will still be
subject to the scrutiny and attention of co-workers and superiors. This attention may be
uncomfortable for both the couple and the individuals around them.
