Describe the Data Recovery Warmsite.

The next step down from total redundancy is the Data Recovery Warmsite (DRW). This provides the equipment and communications interfaces that will allow the system to perform automatic backups in the most efficient timeframe possible. Depending on the criticality of the data and the information processing capabilities of the primary and secondary sites, those timeframes can be set to be nothing more than milliseconds, or they can be set to be minutes or even hours. In all cases however, the processing at the secondary site does not mirror the actual real-time processing at the target site, which means that a gap in time always separates the data that is entered at the primary site from the data that resides on the backup system.
