State one verbal and one nonverbal delivery goal that you have for your next presentation. Discuss
what you will do to achieve it.
What will be an ideal response?
A minimal answer will provide the requested goals with a strategy on how to work on both. For
example, a student may write: For my next presentation, I will work to slow down my speaking rate
(verbal goal). I will work to achieve this by practicing my speech with my roommate, and asking her to
tug on her ear when I begin to speak to quickly. For my next presentation, I will also work on my eye
contact (nonverbal delivery). To accomplish this goal, I will only use brief notes on my note cards and
only use them to help jog my memory or state a source accurately.
