Explain what a named view is and how you create one.

What will be an ideal response?

In Illustrator, you can define an area of the artboard and save it as a named view, which you can then select from the View menu. The New View feature allows you to make window views of specific sections of the artboard. For instance, if you were working on an illustration of a map, you may want to create four views of the North, East, South, and West regions. To create a new view, you define the area of the artboard that you want to see by zooming in on it with the Zoom tool or Navigator panel. Click View on the Menu bar, then click New View. Name the view in the Name text box of the New View dialog box, then click OK. The named view appears as an option on the View menu. You can change the name of a view or delete a view using the Edit Views command, also on the View menu.
