What are the points that one should keep in mind when deciding to implement a management information system (MIS)?
What will be an ideal response?
When deciding to implement an MIS, one needs to keep in mind that information systems are not created for exploring technology. They are not created so that the company can be "modern" or so that the company can show it has a social networking presence on the Web. They are not created because the information systems (IS) department thinks they need to be created or because the company is "falling behind the technology curve." Information systems exist to help people who work in a business to achieve the strategies of that business.
